HISTORY

Dr. Michael Terrell Jackson was called into ministry at a very young age. Dr. Jackson served his country in the U.S. Army and his first assignment was at Fort Drum, N.Y. There he was lead to Christ in the barracks in 1987.

Two years later God called him into the ministry and he had his first sermon at Sweet Haven Holy Church Of God #3 under the leadership of Bishop Nathaniel Johnson and was later licensed in that ministry.

Dr. Jackson was then re-located to Schofield Barracks Hawaii for his next duty station where he found a church home at Emmanuel Temple where Bishop Carl E. Harris was Pastor.  Dr. Jackson served in that ministry for three years.

Dr. Jackson was sent to his final duty station at Fort Hood Texas where God solidified his pastoral call.  He sat under the tutoring and teaching of Bishop Nathaniel Holcomb.  Nine years later he was released to his pastorate in Jackson, MS where CHOP Jackson was started.
